Service Dog Training
We specialize in psychiatric and mobility dogs, but we are always expanding our education and looking for more tasks and ways our service dogs can help their handlers. We currently do not train for tasks that require scent detection, such as diabetic alert dogs, and no guide dogs.
Training a service dog takes time and can be complex, depending on your needs. Please contact us so we can help you find the best program that works for you.
“Around the same time I began my journey in the world of dog training, I was diagnosed with Acute Anxiety Disorder.
Attacks would come on suddenly, leaving me literally paralyzed, confused, and in a great deal of pain, and could be brought on by something as simple as a grocery trip, or visiting a friend. While therapy, medication, and other lifestyle changes helped greatly, I still felt I was missing out on experiences I had long since set aside.
I began training my own service dog, Karuna, in 2018, and in just a few short months I began to see improvement in myself, alongside her own. She is trained to alert for my attacks, interrupt symptoms both before and during attacks, bring someone to my aid, as well as fetch my medication.
While incredibly helpful, this is not what makes her a great service dog. What makes her a great service dog is her confidence in every single situation, and her unwavering obedience. I continue as a service dog trainer not only because I’ve trained with service dogs, but because I can understand and empathize with the need for one. My goal is to give you a 100% reliable companion that fully enables you to live your best life.”
